Surgically Repaired

I have had terrible problems with my shoulders for the last several years. I tried physical therapy but the tears were too bad to heal with just therapy. On June 7th I had surgery on my left shoulder to repair torn rotator cuff and biceps tendons. I’m in a sling until July 21st. If all goes well I can take the sling off and begin to rebuild the strength in my arm and shoulder. I am going to try therapy only for the right shoulder, it has less damage. Wish me luck!

I’ve been asked many times if turning on the lathe was the “cause” of my shoulder issues. I can’t really answer that with any authority but I can say that if I had known what the recovery from shoulder surgery was really like, I would have taken better care of them.

PS The shoulders in the picture are not mine, darn it!
